150th Anniversary Celebration
Saturday, July 25 (but plan on being there from July 24-26)
Parade Float Theme Idea (just to get some discussion going)
The world comes to Rock City to Celebrate 150.
Concept - thoecratic, political and royal heads of state and other VIPs would ride in procession in floats and cars in honor of Rock City's anniversary. .
Challenge - designing a pope-mobile (refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Popemobile)
Maybe we can just mount a dunk tank to a pick up truck?
Bigger Challenge - borrowing a real Bentley for our Queen to ride in
Suggested Roles:
Pope - AJ or Ben
Queen of England - Bernie of course
Dalai Lama - Dennis Davidson (Uncle D - would you be willing to shave your head?)

What about this for an idea:
Let's not be in the parade this year. Let's watch Rock City as they mature into 150 years and observe their identity without imposing our identity. Then we can dress up like dignitaries later and make a scene on the cakewalk as "guests"
dress as your favorite rock? could do a lot with just poorly-made costumes.
a float welcoming the aliens or commemorating the anniversary of first alien contact in RC?
or how about we do a marching band and play aqualung?
Let's not forget is also the 150th anniversary of the 1st dog show (6/28/1859)
